3 Reasons to Try CBD this Holiday Season

The holidays are one of the most demanding times of the year, and full spectrum CBD could be the perfect addition to your wellness routine.

‘Tis the season to be jolly, as they say, but that doesn’t always mean the holidays are smooth sailing. Balancing so many activities and expectations can be tough on the brain and the body. That’s why the holiday season is the perfect time to experiment with full spectrum CBD, the family of compounds that are naturally produced in the flowers of the hemp plant.

So what holiday struggles can CBD help with?

Holiday Stress

According to a survey, 45% of people living in the United States would choose to skip out on the holidays, rather than deal with the stress of it all (1). Festivities can eat up every bit of free time you have, gift-giving etiquette is unwelcome pressure, and families are often complicated.

Will your holiday dinner devolve into chaos the minute Uncle Ken brings up politics? Will your mother unfavorably compare the holiday gift you gave her to the one you gave your mother-in-law? Even if these scenarios don’t apply to you, you’re most likely dealing with a little more stress during the holidays.

So what can CBD do? Take a CBD gummy and let the hemp plant work its magic. We’re not saying that taking CBD will make Uncle Ken more bearable (unless he’s taking CBD, too), but the stress that comes hand-in-hand with his antics might be easier to ignore after a couple full spectrum CBD gummies.

Sleep

Too much stress can cause too little sleep. During the pressure cooker holiday months, getting enough sleep can be thwarted by stress, holiday parties, over-indulging, and family obligations.

Full spectrum CBD can help your body relax into a state that is ready for sleep. However, it’s not a sedative like most over-the-counter medications and prescription sleep aids, which means you won’t wake up groggy. Helping people fall asleep is one of the most popular uses of CBD. Not only does CBD help you get to sleep, many people report that it keeps them asleep or, if they wake up, they get back to sleep more easily.

Take your CBD preferably 45 minutes to an hour before bed. Practice good sleep hygiene, like keeping your devices out of your bedroom, making the room dark and cool, and not fighting sleep when you’re drowsy. (oh, and tell your neighbor to turn off the outdoor christmas music)

Aches and pains

Hauling that Christmas tree, hanging your holiday lights, and lugging around packages were all much easier when you were a young whippersnapper. But nowadays, the cold makes your whole body hurt. With no real break until January, the holidays can really put a strain on your joints and muscles, causing more aches and pains.

A good, organic CBD lotion or balm can help with those aches and pains. Apply it liberally to the sore areas of your body and wait for the relief. For whole body relief, try a full spectrum CBD ingestible like gummies, oil, or capsules.

Taken at least once a day at the same time every day, CBD products work together with your body’s endocannabinoid System to provide an escape from the pains of the holiday, whether they’re emotional or physical. So, what are you waiting for!?
